My services include:
• Prompt return of your phone calls and/or emails.
• A consultation to help determine what type music would be most appropriate for your event. For many events, this is usually done via phone, but wedding ceremony consultations take place in my home to make it easier for the bride and groom to choose individual pieces for certain moments in their ceremony.
• Finding and hiring additional musicians as requested by the client.
• A written contract that sets out details, such as times, dates, and locations.
• Confirmation of our arrangements by phone and/or email one week before the wedding.
• The presence of one of my own, top-quality, professional instruments and their necessary accessories.
• For wedding ceremonies: Coordination with your officiant on the day of the wedding.
• Coordination with other musicians on or before the day of the event
• Payment of other musicians hired by me to play at the event.
Fees reflect the following:
• Moving the harp, which is large, heavy, delicate, and yes, extremely expensive, hand-made instrument.
• Providing any other necessary equipment, such as a bench, a music stand, and, when necessary, an amplifier, speaker, speaker stand, cables and other electronics.
• Arriving 30 minutes to one hour prior to the start of the engagement to get the harp and other equipment set up before the arrival of your guests.
• The performance of a professional musician at your event, which many times includes specific requests made by the client and arranged for your occasion if necessary.
• The length of time of the engagement.
Other things that affect your fee might include:
• Mileage fees, incurred for events that are more than 25 miles and/or 45 minutes away.
• An extra fee will be assessed for outdoor venues due to the risk of taking the harp outside.
• The addition of extra musicians, such as a flutist or violinist.
• Rehearsals with non-professional musicians that take place other than the day of the event.
